Cybernetic Avatar
From 2020 to 2030, he will serve as program director for JST Research and Development Fund ,Moonshot Goal 1: "Realization of a society where humans are free from constraints of body, brain, space, and time by 2050.”
By developing a “cybernetic avatar” system that allows anyone to remotely control multiple avatars, we will realize a future society in which everyone can augment their own abilities and dramatically improve not only their work productivity but also the richness of their lives, including housework, childcare, and leisure time.
He currently supervises seven R&D projects and more than 130 Principal Investigators (PIs).
