Theme
3D Measurement, 3D Data Processing, 3D Data Applications
Advances in measurement technologies and data processing capabilities have made it easier for computers to acquire and process 3D data, leading to an increase in the use of 3D data. Data measured in the real world are applied to industrial robots and XR devices, and 3D data are also collected and used in fields such as materials science and computational mechanics. My research focuses on how to measure, model, and apply 3D data, with an emphasis on real-world measurement technologies (e.g., cameras, 3D sensors, tactile sensors) and data processing techniques (e.g., image processing, point cloud processing, deep learning, optimization algorithms). In addition, I am working on research that applies 3D data processing techniques to other fields, including the development of neural networks for handling crystal structures in materials science and the construction of datasets for computational mechanics as well as the training of generative 3D models.
