Theme

Analysis of the attraction-repulsion chemotaxis system

The attraction-repulsion chemotaxis system is considered as mathematical model representing the dynamics of microglia, capturing the dynamics of three elements: microglial concentration, attractant concentration, and repellent concentration. In this research theme, we are developing structure-preserving numerical schemes for the attraction-repulsion chemotaxis system. Additionally, our objectives include the analysis of distinctive spatiotemporal pattern solutions obtained from this scheme, as well as investigations into attractor analysis within the dynamical system.

Surrogate model based on spatial reduction theory

In this project, I attempt to construct an explainable surrogate model by utilizing reduction theory about partial differential equations. To this end, I will conduct research based on three plans: (a) mathematical study of reduction theory for partial differential equations on complex spatial domains, (b) numerical learning experiments of the proposed surrogate model, and (c) theoretical analysis of the generalization error of the proposed surrogate model.
