Bio-engineering

Bioengineering is a research field that combines medical science, computer science, engineering, and biology. In this field, my research focuses on biometric monitoring, early-stage disease detection, and medical image processing. With the development of deep-learning-based technologies, we can not only monitor physical health but also assess mental health by analyzing human behaviors from multimodal data such as video, voice, EEG, and more. Our primary research topic is dual-task-based cognitive impairment detection. A dual-task paradigm is a procedure in experimental neuropsychology that requires an individual to perform two tasks simultaneously. By analyzing the gait and computation scores data collected when the subject is conducting a dual-task, we can detect cognitive impairment at a very early stage.
