I am conducting comprehensive research, utilizing both hardware and software, with the goal of realizing a robot system designed to coexist harmoniously with humans. My research encompasses a broad range of topics, including but not limited to autonomous and remote mobility/manipulation, perception functions, motion control, intelligent robot systems, and XR systems. Specifically, I am developing technologies that leverage multimodal information, such as tactile, force, and visual data. These technologies, combined with AI, replicate and emulate the actions of skilled individuals in robots. Additionally, I am working on systems that facilitate interaction between humans and robots, as well as service robot systems designed for use in homes and indoor environments.
Furthermore, the systems I am developing will find applications in various fields in the future. These include industrial systems, welfare and caregiving systems, marine systems, and education systems, thereby making diverse contributions to each of these sectors.
