In the medical field, diverse sensing technologies such as microscopic imaging, gene expression profiling, and genetic mutation analysis have enabled the acquisition of vast amounts of multimodal data. However, the development of machine learning methods capable of effectively utilizing these data has not yet kept pace with their diversity and complexity. To address this gap, I am working on building a machine learning framework that enables the integrated analysis of multimodal information, including gene expression, based on readily obtainable and cost-effective image data. These technologies make it possible to infer detailed disease states underlying routine diagnostic images. Through this research, I aim to uncover new possibilities of multimodal data and establish a new paradigm in medical diagnostics.
